Apartment villas Kuk
This project assignment is the reconstruction and upgrading of buildings in Makarska, in the area of Veliko Brdo known as Kuk. The complex consists of the main building (former restaurant), auxiliary facilities (pantry), and nine foundations as the remains of ground motel units, the remains of bungalow facilities.
The remains of ground floors motel units are located on the eastern part of the parcel.
On the northern side, the parcel is bordered by the main road and on that side the access road to the parcel is located. On the remaining sides, the parcel is bordered by private parcels.
East of the villa there are motel units renovated in the villas for rent. The project of the apartment villas is adapted to the positions of the former motel units but the number of separate units decreases from 9 to 4. The neighbouring facilities are connected, which increases the standard of living and the size of each villa without significantly altering the overall surface area of the motel complex and the surface of the building plot. Towards the south, terraces are added to the holiday homes.
The houses have similar ground planes and the cross-section adapts to the slope of the terrain. The ground plan is divided into two parts that are deleveled (one part with kitchen, living room, dining room, toilet and storage, and the other part with two bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms) and connected by an entrance hall and a terrace.
